At the risk of sounding like
an acceptance speech at the Oscars, none of this would be possible without the quarrymen who
began shaping Stoney Cove over one hundred years ago! As they quarried the stone with their
crude tools, they could not have dreamt that they were creating the perfect scuba-diving venue.
The result of all the hard work is 13 acres of clear, sheltered spring water with depths of 7,
22 and 36 metres, accompanied
by facilities, equipment and training that
are second to none!Stoney Cove's reputation
for being the best inland diving centre
reaches far and wide. It's not unusual to
meet somebody diving half-way around world
on the Great Barrier Reef who did their
training here in the heart of Leicestershire.
